I'm married to Jan, and we just celebrated our 42nd Anniversary. We have four kids, two grandkids, and pray for happy accidents for our married kids every night because we want more grandkids.
I retired from the Army as a Lieutenant Colonel; Commanded an 8-inch firing battery along the Iron Curtain, deployed to Iraq where my troops and I were on the receiving end of rockets and mortars every 3 to 5 days, and was the Chief Engineer in the J6 at NORAD-USNORTHCOM. In 2022, I retired once more, after 13 years at Microsoft.
Along the way, I earned a Master's Degree in History, built and designed data centers and IT enterprise infrastructure in Southwest Asia, along the axis of the Euphrates, across the Rocky Mountain Front range, and was the Microsoft Enterprise Architect at AF Space Command (pre-Space Command) working with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to move 700,000 Air Force end points into the Microsoft Cloud.
Today, I teach the convergence of Bible and History, run a small business, wrote and published 30 books on many topics, and helped multiple authors publish their books on marriage, leadership, and theology.
